It's not uncommon that people find us when researching diabetic treat options for their diabetic dog. However, after an initial purchase most dog owners soon realize and understand that while our diabetic treats are designed for diabetic dogs, they are actually a very healthy and low calorie treat option for ANY dog. Dog owners with multiple fur babies often end up purchasing our BULK dog treats for ALL their dogs, diabetic or not. In 2019 Liz found us as a result of her dog Maddox having been diagnosed with diabetes. She had been on the hunt for a diabetic dog treat. When her first Old Dog order arrived, what she discovered was that her 3 non diabetic dogs LOVED our (diabetic) treats as well as Maddox, the diabetic one. Since her first purchase in 2019 Liz and her Schnauzer clan have been fans of our Old Dog Tiny Diabetic treats. Maddox has recently passed but Liz still continues to purchase our diabetic treats for her non diabetic dogs. Back in December we received a very nice note from Liz. We asked Liz if we could share her note and her experience with our treats.
"We first started off with treats from the Old Dog Cookie Company when Maddox was diagnosed (with diabetes) but my other 3 dogs loved them as well. Old Dog Diabetic treats are the treat of the day for them. Since Maddox's passing I thought it would be best to continue using them (Old Dog Tiny Diabetic Treats) since the treats are healthier. All my babies are 14 and 15 years old and I want to keep them happy and healthy. They have been a blessing to me. Each one has their own personality. Jolie, the oldest is my 3 legged dog, Javin is a shy boy and when we walk and he sees another dog he stops walking completely until the other dog passes and Leia, the smallest but thinks she is the toughest. She was a rescue and does not leave my side."
