Feel the Love - Our nomination winners

By Kristen Hall

It's time to give back!!  In December we asked our customers to help us.  We wanted to take action and make a donation to a few worthy non profit canine organizations.  We thank those who wrote into us!!

We have selected the following organizations as the recipients of the "Old Dog -Power to Give" post and have made a $150.00 donation to each.
Rifle Animal Shelter - Rifle Colorado
Glen Highland Farm - Morris, NY

Rifle Animal Shelter is near and dear to one of our past customers, Ines Baquero and her dog Lucy.  She tells us the people at Rifle have the biggest hearts.  They take in and care for over 1,500 lost, surrendered, ill, injured, or orphaned animals each year.  They are hoping to build a new shelter and we are happy to contribute to their cause.  http://rifleanimalshelter.com/

Nancy C. a current Old Dog customer has 8 good reasons to be thankful for Glen Highland Farm and their dedication and love for dogs.  You see that is how many dogs she has rescued from them.  Brither (our current January Fan of the month) is her most recent rescue.  Nancy through her volunteer work has also seen first hand that the border collies that find their way to Glen Highland Farm always receive the care and attention they need.  We also loved to hear that GHF provides senior dogs a sanctuary where they can be loved and cared for 24 hours a day for the rest of their lives.  As many of you know our senior dogs are very important to us and we hope our contribution will help them and their many other dogs.  Just like the Old Dog Cookie Company, Glen Highland Farms is the journey and result of one special dog.   http://www.glenhighlandfarm.com/

Sometimes you just don't know the path life will take you on.  We continue to be thankful for ours and the many clients we come into contact with.  We are especially thankful for those that dedicate their days to enriching the lives of those that are furry.  Congratulations again to the Rifle Animal Shelter and Glen Highland Farms and thank you to Ines and Nancy for taking the time to care for our canines and writing into us!
